I recently had a pro comp 3" suspension lift installed on my 2015 TRD sport. I was told that 285/75/r17 Toyo open country MT tires would fit the new lift. Well they don't and they are rubbing the upper control arms really bad. I have a pair of SPC adjustable Upper control arms on the way hoping that will solve the problem. But I'm doubtful. Anyone have any similar problems and or possible solutions to correct this issue??? Please help.

The problem is most likely the backspacing on your wheels, you might have to run wheel spacers to provide the clearance you need. I'm running the same lift with same size wheel/tire combo. I swapped my UCA's out for a set of Built Rights and I believe they may have provided a little more clearance to the inner sidewall of the tires, but mainly gained clearance from uca to coil over at full droop and the ability to hit proper alignment specs.

Yea I was really trying to avoid spacers. I have been looking all over for ucas made for this problem and hopefully the ones I got will do the trick. Just didn't know if there was another option as far as the UCA is concerned. Thanks tho bud appreciate the help

Could always solve the problem with a shiny new set of wheels with a different offset! :D

def need spacers or wheels with -12 offset. I run 285/65r18 tires with fuel mavericks -12 offset.

The UCAs you ordered will not help you (I am running them, needed new rims). Tire is a 285/75/R16 General Grabber AT2

275 are the largest you can run on stock wheels and they will rub a little...

1.25 spacers or Camburg/total Chaos/Icon UCAs. Or both.

    Yes sir
Pretty sure no UCA will help you with the rubbing unless you want poor alignment. Like it's been said, wheel spacers or rims with the proper offset. Wheel spacers aren't bad, tons of guys run them without issues

No they don't. Spacers moving the wheel out have absolutely no different effect than using wheels with more offset. I know of 2 trucks with 1.25" spacers that have well over 200,000 miles on 'em. Another with 120,000+....No problems.

Any aftermarket UCA, other than LR, has less material outside the ball joint than the OE arm. This gets you room for tires. Camburg gets about an inch more clearance than OE (based in my truck).
