Recently did a 3” lift to my 2003 Tacoma and they told me I needed new upper control arms in order for the alignment to be correct. What would y’all recommend? Thanks.

there are occasionally group buys or used bits for sale.

otherwise there's lots of options. any special plans for the truck after the lift?

SPC and jba are cheaper options, spc are adjustable so you can dial in the caster, more pricey but better options imo are icon delta joints, total chaos uniballs and the camburg kinetic series. I have the icons and like them cause its a sealed joint. harsh winters can be bad news for uniballs I've heard.

yeah the SPC & JBA options will typically be lower maintenance. probably better for the street..

SPC's aren't really a cheap option any more, they switched to a forged arm design and cost almost $700 last I looked.

I have the slightly older SPCs I got a few years ago for closer to $400. You can still buy them through a brand called Mevotech, just look them up online. They're just re-branded SPCs (older style).

JBAs are the other ball joint UCA that I would consider, except they lack the adjustability that SPCs have. Then again, most people never use the adjustability settings on their SPCs anyway.

Here’s a pic. They did 3” lift in the front and 1 1/2” in the back basically wanted it level but I mostly drive on the road maybe in the future I do plan to take it off road. I was deciding between camburg or total chaos.

Sounds like you're looking at uniball UCAs then, nothing wrong with uniballs they are typically the strongest UCA you can get (usually more expensive too), but they require more maintenance than a ball joint style UCA. And if you live somewhere that gets rust, you're probably going to have to replace the uniball more frequently. They also tend to make a lot of noise if you offroad a lot.

Ball joint UCAs are usually quieter and have better articulation than uniball. But uniball has more strength than a ball joint. Really just comes down to preference and budget.
