Few pictures from our trip to the Upper Peninsula. We started the trip in L'anse Michigan. Our route took us through Houghton, Gay, and eventually led us to Cooper Harbor. We made it to the start of U.S. Route 41, and took a trail that led us to the most northern point of the peninsula where we set up camp for the night. This is a few of our pictures.

awsome pics, you camped in "the" spot. sunrise and sunset, all you got to do is move your chair. and you have the big lake as a beer cooler. its been awhile since i've been there, i miss it. that is a great area.

I'd been coming up here for 20+ years bear hunting with our hounds since I was a kid and now I live up here in the U.P. (Watersmeet). I have a family camp in Paulding that got me to move this particular area, but we spent a lot of time just west of Baraga-L'Anse off of FFH 16. Best decision I ever made was to move up here.

Man, I miss that place. My sisters are kayaking the pictured rocks this summer. Wish to hell it wasn't a 20+ hour drive to get there. Anything over 10-12 turns my 3 y/o into a monster.

We took trips to Copper Harbor every year as a kid. I still have a good size chunk of copper that was found around one of the mines up there. I must have been 10 at the time.

I love camping up in the UP. It is pretty tough to beat. High Rock Bay and Mouth Of The Huron River are a couple favorite spots. Plus a few secret ones too. We were just on Drummond Island this past weekend.

    High Rock Bay last summer

Spent 5 years in the Sault and I miss the hell out of it! The U.P. will always be a special place for me. I'd go back in a heart beat if I could.

Decided to share some more pictures from a more recent trip. This time decided to bring the bikes along and hit the Copper Harbor trail system. Needless to say I will be going back a lot! Anyone know of anyone good camping/wheeling areas besides Copper Harbor????

Drummond Isand in the EUP is where you want to go. Lots of trails and camping there.

I live in Watersmeet, in the western U.P., plenty of forest service roads/trails and old logging roads around the Ottawa Nat'l forrest.
