UPS lost side steps?

If the driver lies about delivering the package and then gets caught in his lie, how is me telling him to do his job disrespectful? I didn't raise my voice or cuss him out. The dispatcher on the phone told me he was turning around and would be at my house in 10 minutes. I waited at the front door. He wouldn't make eye contact and mumbled something about it being a busy night. I just told him very directly to do his damn job. End of story.

Now, the driver who left my $400 Yeti cooler sitting in front of my door for all to see (and street is 15 feet from my front door) instead of tucking it behind the planter 2 feet to the right of the door...that guy I'd like to rip a new one.

 

I suggest you not do that to driver having a bad day. Maybe then they will feel inclined to care about you a little bit.

 

I get it. I could have just bit my tongue. I was just pissed a $500 motorcycle seat was in the wind. I do try to give people the benefit of the doubt but I was tracking it and it was supposedly delivered...and then it wasn't. Karma will get me - although it probably already has. Carry on.

 

It's fine, just know that these drivers earn every penny they make. It's not an easy job and extremely stressful.

 

I earn my $ over the past 24 years. I respect every customer but the ones that give me a hard time always get there parcel at the end of the day & they better be home cause I love leaving info notices...

 

Wow.. reading some of these stories makes me all the more impressed that CBI got the sliders all the way to me in Germany!

** OP update - Steps were lost...
But CarID has some awesome customer service and are shipping new ones for me.
No real explanation since my address was correct and seemingly made it to my city, but they were on the phone with UPS for a good 15 minutes - so something must have went on.

I think next time I get something like this sent I will go and pick it up. It's just weird because I have ordered your usual upgrades before without having a delivery issue. I'm glad I used a reputable website at least. Thanks for all your replies, I feel better knowing at least I wasn't the only one with shitty deliveries before.

I've been waiting a week for Fedex to find my plate bumper. I supposed someone got lazy and didn't want to load a 100 pounds + Item. They haven't still mark it as lost, but 1 week later I don't think they will find it.

 

He sent it !

 

Lol, driver told me of a time he had a signature required at the top of a long gated driveway and customer would not open gate. Solution here was simple, Package refused --> return to sender.

I just received some volk wheels $2500 for the set, came through FedEx before they arrive I called customer service and told them to hold them at the facility. Much to my amazement when I got to the facility one of the two boxes were there, the other two wheels were delivered to my house and left outside. With the box crushed on the corner



On the other hand, our businesses UPS driver would go out of his way to make sure I would get my packages and I had his cell phone number would meet up with him on his route if I needed my packages earlier than my delivery charge

 

Yup - shipped Tonneau cover cross country and it arrived busted up with parts missing. My bet your shipment box got damaged and fell apart during shipping. Hope it's not true but I wouldn't be surprised. My Prinsu rack box was open on one end from shipping damage but luckily, nothing fell out and the parts were still safe.

Hope it works out for you- UPS insurance investigation are is a you know what- they blamed the broken Tonneau on bad boxing- it was obviously crushed by something heavy on top of it but they didn't care.

 

I say this to be everybody, if your package can't be dropped from chest height without damaging it then it is not properly packaged to begin with. We're not slowing our operation to pamper every single package.

 

yup, boxes have to be strong enough to withstand their corners being dragged on concrete, ran over by forklifts, put under engine block crates and floated like kayaks down the river.

 

Happened to me with USPS.
Before i e-mailed the Postmaster, all my packages always delivered one or two day after tracking numbers displayed as delivered. Very frustrated...
After e-mailed, frustration is gone. My best guess is the driver either received new training or new routes.

 

This is why I wanted to be able to pick up my set from a shop.
Hope they weren't damaged!
