I'm sure many users have traveled to various regions and discovered some interesting/abandoned buildings. Urbex (Urban Exploration) is for those adventure seekers who want to explore the reminants of the past. This thread is for pure educational purposes only and does not endorse trespassing. Be sure to get permission before entering a property! With that said, I would like to see your urban exploration sites. For security reasons, I will not release the location of the sites. I ask for those who do know to not release any information either, thank you! I hope everyone enjoys!

    Grain House (Processing Plant)

    • This location employed thousands of workers during the agricultural revolution. Unfortunately, the plant shut down due to high pollution levels. The location is severely vandalized, but is none the less amazing to see. Many of the desks and paperwork can still be found in the office area of the plant. An oil refinery is also located on the site. The control room; however, is littered with debris. I find the views from this abandoned building to be phenomenal. Of course, climbing the steps to reach those views is sketch to say the least. The place does seem like a ghost town at dusk though!

Rosewood center in Baltimore County, closed up now, not open to public, but if you ask the armed security nicely they may allow you to take pictures.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosewood_Center

one of the larger buildings was destroyed by fire a few years ago, several other buildings still stand

    http://firepix1075.zenfolio.com/p754842660/h418d82fc#h418da100

At one point police agencies were using the buildings for active shooter training, until a Baltimore City police instructor accidently shot a police recruit

I'm intrigued by some of these historical places. I really like the Packard plant in Detroit! And it gives you a glimpse of what life used to be for some.

This thread definitely needs a revival! I love abandoned buildings, ghost towns, any remnants of the past really.

This old church in my town sat abandoned for years. Someone is actually renovating it now. These pics are from a couple years ago

Every town has a crybaby bridge urban legend. This is ours

The old International Boiler Works in Pennsylvania. Used to spend a lot of time their when I was a kid. Probably one of the most memorable areas from my childhood. Sadly one of the building burned down a few years back but the metal and block building still stand.

(This isn't my photo. I found it as a submission for the Smithsonian Photo Contest)

Old pic. Number of years ago I got to scuba dive a flooded mine. No flash photos were allowed underwater, but there was some seriously haunting shit down there.

I stopped by the abandoned TexomaLand Fun Park last weekend. I remember always wanting to go here as a kid when we would camp at the nearby Lake Texoma.
