URD 70mm Throttle body

Looks good, and smart choice with the silicone.

 

Anyone have the bore measurement on the TRD SC inlet?

 

There is in the URD thread, on XRU, in the vendor section.

 

There has been at least one person to port match the spacer and the S/C inlet. On XRU.

 

How's it drive now?

Also, for everyone considering this mod or any engine mod really, without a tune and/or an MAF calibrator such as the one from URD, most mods wont add as much power. With the proper tune/calibration there will be a more significant difference

 

Smaller than 70mm, I think I opened mine up about 2mm all around.

 

I might have to try this! Obviously toss a rag inside to prevent chips and such?

It.drives good, it seems to have a quicker throttle responce... and about the whole rag chat when opening up the intake /sc I made sure to count how many I put in and how many I took out! last thing you wanna do is forget one in there

 

I might have to try opening the intake manifold and the adapter.

 

I feel a mod day coming up.

 

Also to add to the list of mods for anyone who cares: this mod gives you more air, but you need more fuel too. The oem fuel filter is bad after 30k miles and the pump isn't amazing either. URD has an upgrade kit for both of these things.

I don't remember the guys name, it was from a TW member but the rubber hoses/ couplings ( what ever you call them) were starting to crack and was missing a couple little parts so I spent about $40 +- and got new parts. I prefer not to mention who I got it from(even if I look it up I'm my history) I don't want to give him bad Rep! He was good to deal with, I guess it's common for the rubber to crack with time on these intakes. The new rubber parts are black for a cleaner look not red

 

No lol, I'm pretty sure he bought it from me! Yeah the red rubber was starting to crack a hair when I sold it.

 

If it was yours.. it's pretty funny how many hands it might have gone through. It's great otherwise, just lost my job today and It's not a must keep which is why I posted it. I wount ship it not to have someone else go through what I did. The box was seriously broken in half in one corner, I was happy to see 95% of the parts were all there. I have no idea how the rest of the parts didn't fall out of the box. For fun when I'll take some more pix of the parts I'll take one of the shipping box for people's amusement
