Any boosted brethren have any insight on excess engine wear? Here is my current Blackstone report.

Did you change to a different oil from the previous 2 times?

101k.... last oil change was 5 years ago. Has been sitting along time while I did suspension and fiberglass.

Highly doubt it. Just standard cenex 5w-30
I did use Rotella gas truck 5w-30 this time

The Moly was higher this time.
That’s usually an additive in the oil.

    I got nothing man.
I can’t decipher oil analysis result.

I’ll admit, I don’t know what oil is in mine.
It’s what ever Free Service Tire pours in it.
It is worth the $37-$40 to me for them to change it.
I have lifetime alignment and tire rotation, so I get it all done at the same time.

There’s some things I’ll do myself.
Others I won’t or just don’t want to.

There's a lot of zinc in the oils you use. Typically newer engines don't need that addictive any more, that's more for old school flat tapper cam type stuff. Wonder if you should switch oils to one that's meant for newer engine types.

Now if it sat for 5 yrs or even a yr or so then you fired it up to run you'll have excessive wear as all the oil eventually runs off the bearing surfaces and cylinder walls etc. It's almost like firing a freshly built engine with 0 assembly lube. Point is that thing needs to at least be ran a few times or cranked over to prime it then fired up.

I have submitted over 30 oil samples from different rigs including a couple boosted motors and have never had a bad OA like that. I had been thinking that blackstone was scamming clients and just giving positive comments, thanks for proving me wrong, Lol.

If it was my rig, there is no way I would go another 3k before doing another OA. I would drain your new oil(treating it like a flush) and run PP or M1 and get a OA on it within 1k to see if wear metals have dropped. Since there are so many OAs using PP and M1 its easier for BS to give you a tighter comparison. I would also be checking copart for used engines within your driving range as your motor is likely done.

Blackstone does OA for aircraft. No BS with that company
