Alright. Is your MAF Cal plug n play or solder in?

If all of these problems happened after changing a tune in the Maf Cal, then why are you focusing on anything else but when and where it started? Or is there something that I am missing?

MAF Cal is soldered in. I have the MAF extension harness from URD plugged in.

I spoke with two Toyota technicians today and explained all my syptoms to them and the general consensus was that I need to replace the MAF. My guess is it got to much filter oil on it or inside the element some how and burnt out.

Ok so I installed a new MAF and now if seems to be running good. Do I need to upload the fuel map for the URD TCAI again since I put a new MAF on?

That's exactly my point, how do I know for sure that the MAF calibrator has the fuel map installed on it?

Pc, cable, software and some knowledge of what that map looks like is the only way I know to verify it.

I've got all the equipment to upload the map to the MAF calibrator but I don't know what the map looks like to verify it. The database URD uses must be an older version than the one I have because I can't view it.

i'm pretty sure that whatever happened with my truck it must have damaged just about every sensor on the engine. i'm at a loss here, i cant afford to keep buying sensors at over 100$ bucks a pop.

Unplug the MAF Cal. Like I said earlier. See how it runs without it.

Roger that, I'm planning on pulling it tonight/tomorrow. I was able to get rid of 10 codes by replacing the MAF. So now I'm just down to P0300/random misfire. P0171-174, lean and rich bank 1&2. And P0430&P043E/ temp sensor for closed loop and something to do with the thermostat. I ordered the temp stuff to have it on standby but I'm going to pull the calibrator first.

Whats the result of removing the MAF CAL.

Are you sure your MAF is connected to the right signals cause some of the error codes you got are very strange. Temp sensor' random misfire ??

Pulling the MAF cal didn't seem to do anything, I talked to a Toyota mechanic and he said if any of the wires are loose going into the plugs for the ECU you're going to have problems and the soldering the connections probably isn't the best way to go with that small of a wire,to much risk of burning the wire I guess. So I'm going to re wire my connections and see what that does lol

URD uses a dry filter element, are you oiling it? I had some similar codes with mine, with soldered maf wires, had to re-solder them to fix.

"blue lug" haha good one! No it ended up being the ECU. I pulled the ECU and opened the lid and sure enough there were some burnt up circuits. I go a replacement for $100 so ill try that and see if it works.
OH and I almost forgot to mention that the frame is cracked around the A-arm mounts and the previous owner tried to hide some damage by fixing it himself but he did a shitty job so now i have that to deal with ! lol when it rains it pours here in Oregon....

I've been wondering the same thing! I've exhausted all my resources trying to fix this thing, I'm taking it to the dealer I got it from today and see if I can find out what exactly happened to it.

Ya it's no Bueno! Took it to the dealership last night and I pointed towards the frame and the guy looks at it and say "why are there welds on top of the factory welds?" I said: jeez I don't know you tell me!!?
