I purchased this product about a year ago with the calibrator harness and maf extension. Ran ok for around a year until the other day my trac off light and check engine light came on. Took it to a Toyota dealership that got the codes for rich condition in both banks, p0172 and p0175 I think. They said they could not diagnose any further until I removed the cold air intake equipment and restored the original intake. I wasn't too happy as I spent over $700 CND on this and now $160 just to read those codes. I restored the original intake with a new filter that evening and the performance seems better than with the URD. Plus it seemed to deccellerate better as with the URD it seemed to thud down quick when I let off the gas pedal. The other thing the shop manager at Toyota mentioned was that he has never got those codes on trucks around my year that were running OEM equipment. Take this as a warning that unless you have the equipment and software to tune this intake, or can bring it to someone with tuning knowledge it doesn't seem to be plug and play. I could have spent this near $1000 on alot of other modifications and take it as an expensive lesson bit was just trying to get better performance out of my truck.

So you removed a factory cold air intake and spent 700 moose dollars on something your truck comes with?

I've had these same issues as well with my URD intake. I reset the codes, then disconnected the battery, and they havent come back in several months. I figured it was my UCON causing this, but sounds like it's intake related. Regardless, wont be ditching mine.. the intake temps are ambient at all times now where as before with the stock intake it was 10-15* above ambient due to the heat of the engine bay

Sounds like a dirty MAF Sensor.

As someone who’s tuned a (S/C’d) truck with this intake, I can say this intake does in fact need recalibration on the MAF calibration table (voltage vs. offset) across a pretty wide range.

    It is correctable however.

(Edit): I should note that every aftermarket intake on trucks I’ve received datalogs from could use some degree of MAF calibration. Including Volant and aFe.

    clean the following:

    - filter
    - MAF sensor
    - throttle body
    - remove EFI fuse for about 20mins

Was it raining when the idiot lights came on??

Been running the URD intake on 2 different vehicles since 2009 and never any issues. Only once it gave me an issue because the MAF extension harness wasn’t plugged in all the way. Recheck all your connections, make sure it’s nice and tight.

I'll reply to all in one of possible. Yep wasted moose dollars on something I thought might help my performance by spending too much time reading positive comments on this forum. I will definitely get an obd2 reader off Amazon next time I see a code, just panicked as I need my truck for work. I cleaned the maf with sensor clean and OEM seems to be running way better mind you have a new filter. I suspect my mileage will also be better as I think the URD brought it down slightly.
