    Hi,

I just received the URD fuel pump/filter kit with the Walbro pump. After flipping through the install directions ( dropping fuel tank, etc), I think I'm more comfortable finding someone to install this for me.

Has anyone locally (South Bay Area) performed this upgrade? Or a referral to a shop that can install this for me? '08 Tacoma 1GR-FE

Anyone have this mod done? If so, did you DIY or have a shop install it? If so, what shop?

I found a local shop in Santa Clara that's installed a few of the URD fuel pump upgrades. Said he'll charge me an hour ($100) to install mine. I'm booked for an appointment in two weeks.

$100 > "Me bumbling the install and catching everything on fire" :bananadead:

I just ordered one of these - and I'm looking forward to the install job. I've read elsewhere that it's about a 2 hour job. I do have plenty of experience working on cars - my only concern is getting my meaty paws into some of the tight spaces on this truck.

Meh just empty your fuel tank, put a jack under it, unhook it, slowly lower it until you can get a hand in to disconnect everything. Do the swap, now do it all backwards.

*key notes* do not catch everything on fire
