Does anyone have the URD instructions or know where to find them for the URD upgrade pump kit? I lost mine since I didn’t install it for a year after it came in and I’m trying to find new ones to no avail. I’ve had no luck contacting URD either and I was hoping to do the installation this weekend.

I have a set sort of from an online page but I’ve read a few threads where someone missed a little thing here or there that ended up forcing them to do the install twice. I’d rather not have to do that.

Sorry to revive the thread since y’all finished your installs. But I just did mine and I’m having an issue with the truck staying on. It starts up but dies quickly after. Did y’all run across any issues like that. Any pointers would be appreciated

How quickly does it die? Need more info. Did you just drop the tank and replace pump or any other mods at the same time. Is the fuel relay fuse ok? Is the relay clicking on? I missed a vacuum line on my intake plenum just after the throttle body and it would fire right up then shut down before it could settle into an idle, 2-3 seconds.

Thanks for responding. Quick like a second. I did manage to get it running for about 5-10 min but as soon as I shut it off and tried to again it started doing it again where it wouldn’t start or die ASAP.
Relays seem like their turning on and doing their job. I did purchase another relay for the c/opn since that was the one in the instructions to take out and same thing. I did not do any other mods. I pulled the bed off so I have easy access to everything. I took the fuel pump out again to see if there was any kinks in the lines and I made sure there wasn’t when the pump housing was sprung down.

I would check voltage at the pump first to ensure steady power to the pump to rule out a loose ground or poor connection. A kink in the line would seem fairly obvious. Any external inline filters installed? How about the prefilter on the bottom of the pump.

Pull the most accessible supply line at the tank off. Have a bucket ready. If that fuel doesn't come out with great force, when you have someone turn the key , then something is wrong with the in tank hose install.

Thought on uploading a PDF for anyone that might need to print out the instructions.
I got the "Deatschwerks 255 Lph Pump" option. What a difference.
If I needed to do it again I would slide the bed off instead of dropping the tank.

has anyone done the URD Walbro pump upgrade + filter kit as prevantative maint?

It seems their site suggests to, claiming the OE setup clogs as early as 30k mi resulting in damaging lean running

Half do the upgrade for performance, and the other half do it for easier maintenance.
