    Except Magnuson (the supercharger manufacture) has resumed production. 4.0 kits are expected to be available at the beginning of 2016.

    Well, I didn't want to go there again, but yea ^ what he said. Magnuson is the original manufacturer for the TRD SC's, and will be releasing them pretty soon I'm guessing

    Well having spent over two grand at URD already, its just kind of dissappointing to see that.

    Well I went there. I strongly believe in power to the people. Knowledge is power.

    Besides, I've already given URD money and only plan on giving them more as they offer some of the best supercharger upgrades available.

    This is seriously great news for everyone. Seeing as Magnusson sold this as a kit, obtaining parts for it would be relatively difficult at this point if they completely pulled the plug on it like it was originally announced. Even though the blower itself is based off the Eaton M90, some of the design itself is proprietary to the 1GR engine design to make it a bolt on stock setup, so stock replacement parts short of custom is the only economical route to go if something fails/ breaks.

    You guys just gave me hope once again. :)

    But are they going to be smog legal if it is no longer a Toyota part. I understand it's the same part, but the smog exempt number is tied to a Toyota part number.

    Yea, Magnuson is in the process of getting CARB approval for all of the Toyota Superchargers they are bringing back.

    I paid $4300 for mine before the discontinuation notice. I expect the CARB legal Magnuson charger will be around the same. So if you want the same SC without a TRD stamp on the top, wsit a few months and spend the extra 2 grand on more parts
