 So they want someone to pay them “little to no” money to install something untested onto someone’s (probably) daily driver that’s still under warranty. On a normally invincible 2.7 no less.

This is the only reason I didn't bite, tbh. I still have about 18k left on my powertrain warranty, but Corey has more miles than I do last time I checked. I'd consider it if I was little closer, but I still have a weeping differential to get fixed.

Did you find the dyno results? Or are you assuming? Maybe the engineers have designed a cylinder head (fe---fuel economy) that tolerates these normally objectionable air fuel mixtures at WOT, until about 4500 rpm that is.
At any rate, 10.2:1 seems too high of compression to be boosting. I was just offering something to consider before bolting an unproven engine mod onto an low mileage engine under warranty. But, having said that, I hope he does it. moe2o4 will put it on a dyno and I and a lot of other people look forward to seeing the results.

Pardon? I don't know what you're talking about. What does a dyno have to do with AFR? Two separate things.

Every toyota truck since they started using EFI in 1985 has been programmed to run at stoich during cruising (closed loop) and rich during full throttle (open loop). Yes, i am assuming that the 2tr-fe isn't a unicorn and is designed like the 22re, 3vze, 5vzfe, 1gr-fe, 2gr-fks, 2uz-fe, etc. The only cars that run at stoich in open loop are the new mazda skyactiv's.

Are you an engineer that thinks 10.2 is too high, or are you assuming? You are using an old school train of thought. 10.2 is perfectly fine for low boost. 30-40psi? Yes, it has to be lower, but 6-8psi is no problem with proper tuning. The Scion FRS/ Subaru BRZ runs 12.5:1 compression ratio and people have no problems on low boost. What does 4,500 rpm have to do with anything, are you assuming again?

Unproven? They have been supercharging the 2tr for years. URD has had a kit out for the 2005-2015 2tr for 5 years with lots of happy customers. the 2016+ 2tr is the same engine.

I agree on the warranty point, when you add forced induction, you have to be careful and understand the consequences.

It's a 10% gain with the LCE Header.

Gadget@URD is still looking for a truck to get this kit done, someone drop him a line and figure something out so he can get this out to market. The kit he made for the 2005+ 2.7’s came out great 110hp extra on a stock at 10psi boost.

If i was anywhere close to Maryland id be on this.
