Did you use the plug and play harness or wire it in yourself?

If you wired it in yourself, DOUBLE CHECK YOUR WIRING!! I'd guess something is wired wrong in your ECU and God only knows what all is going on with it...

Take it all out and reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery.

That is exactly what my Taco is currently doing. I will check the soldering again, then reset the ECU.

well i got a check engine light, what codes are you getting? i got p0172, and p0175. but i dont' know if its from the MAF calibrator or not. I didn't solder the wires, i just spliced them in, i was thinking of using t taps, but i think i'm gonna solder them this weekend. just haven't had the time. too cold when i get outta work, and its took dark too.

I didn't get the code reading but every indication tells me that is the problem. I reset the ECU and unplugged and reconnected the MAF. It seems fine now. As far as lighting under the hood. I got that taken care of (LEDs under the hood). I believe part of the problem is the lack of space behind the grill which requires the connector wires to be bent as apprised for them being straight.

Gotcha. Well i reset the ecu yesterday after i gave the maf sensor a good cleaning, then i let it idle while i watched the fuel trim values (which set my codes) then took it out and romped the piss out of it. it seem to be working fine (so far). I did notice that when i stepped on it, a cloud of black smoke came out the exhaust and then 88 mph later i was traveling back in time, but i stop because the past sucks  so far the codes haven't popped up again, but i'm going to keep a close eye on it. i was ready to buy a new fuel pressure regulator, but held of on it since my truck was running fine before i installed the calibrator. Its prolly just a loose nut behind the wheel
