    I may be "crazy", but I notched the opening in the floor so that I could more easily get the new bolts back into place when re-installing the new short shifter. Just a thought for anyone about to do the install. It took 15 seconds with a pair of tin snips, touched the affected area with some silver primer and done.

    Agree with above... I love the short shifter, especially for the price (paid $99 also).
