I've had a URD SS on my 6 speed '05 OR for nearly 12 years. One of the first mods I did. Zero issues easy install. Really like it, factory shifter was sloppy and had too long throws.

I had a URD sts kit in my truck, lasted about a 1-1 1/2 years, shifted fine for me but I would caution you that you may want to keep an extra factory shifter on hand at all times and maybe some tools as you don't want to get stuck on the freeway . I got stuck on the free way in Houston back in Nov. 15' while on vacation. I was worried that something had gone wrong internally, Had her towed back to my sisters house and tore the center console out to find the ball had snapped off the stock shifter. Luckily the dealership 15 minutes away had one on hand. I sent an email to URD and someone got back to me telling me that it was a weird occurrence and that they have seen stock setups snap the ball off the shifter without any upgrade at all. I found that to be quite an odd and defensive reply but oh well. This is just my experience and 2 cents with the URD shifter kit. just keep calm if you do proceed and something like this happens to you.:fingerscrossed:1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg

    maybe resurrecting this thread.

just got the URD shifter installed today. i'm used to driving manual porsches so it's a significant improvement over stock. anyone else have one break tho?

I got a FD motorsports SS kit in my 964 and also a manual Tacoma.

You think this URD kit in worth it?

Go with the TRD version. Ive never read anything about quality issues with those. The URD SS on the other hand i have read multiple posts about them snapping off and leaving people stranded

The TRD is 100% worth the money
