Anyone who has this have suggestions on installation? Is it pretty straight forward? i've hear the instructions are good quality and shouldn't take more than a half hour...any special tools i need for the job?

Be careful separating the shift lever from the transmission housing.
If you have a bench vice it'll probably help with the bushing...Be ready to battle that little guy for a bit.

Otherwise- Enjoy...and don't freakout if the shifts are stiffer than before (specially Reverse)..Just take the time to make sure there is no metal on metal binding and work to find a comfortable technique to shift.

I can not think of anyone who said they didn't like it. I'm sure they are out there...I just haven't heard of it.
If you are worried about it- You can just not peen the set screws-Try it out and if you don't like it-Take it out and sell it on here...
Keep your eyes peeled cause URD drops the price to 99 bones now and again...

    Lots baby!
    They are currently at $99.

I have installed several. No special tools required. The instructions are excellent.

Thanks for the tips....installation went smoothly...took my time and read the directions like 4 times before the process to get a handle on it which helped a bunch...by the time i did the install it went by pretty smooth...taking everything apart was straight forward, when it came time to remove the actual shifter housing, i couldn't get my rubber mallet a solid hit on the tower so i had to find a piece of wood to tap it loose then i used some elbow grease to yank it off...the plastic bushing was stubborn getting off too, but with some help of my needle nose handle as extra grip, that baby went flying off, and a little tap of the rubber mallet to get it back on...peening the set screws was a nervous point and i hope i got the metal over enough to keep those babies in there...but got everything in like planned, torqued everything down to the specified lbs with all the grease, lock tight and sealant suggested so hoping things work out in the long run too...

takes a bit to get used to the shorter throws but so far liking the kit...1st-2nd shift seems a bit stiffer than the rest and reverse takes a bit to get used to the stiffer shift, but 2-3-4-5-6 is smooth as butter...

now to start saving for some new sliders and long tube headers...and start fab'ing up a new back bumper with my buddy

Just purchased this short shift kit with the URD Stage III clutch kit. I had them include the lightweight flywheel as well as the upgrade TOB kit. Can't wait to do this little project next weekend over Labor Day weekend.

Had to buy a new jack but got it done over the weekend with some help in the garage.
