Nice. I wish there was an easy way to run these and the URD Y-pipe and still have at least 2 cats. I don't want to run cat-less, as I want this truck to be somewhat quiet-ish.

Impressive! Has anyone dyno'd a 4x4 with these? I will more than likely break down one of these days and swap out my JBA shorties for these and add a resonator and new mani studs and nuts and 02 sims etc etc.

Wow... Those gains are comparable to the X1 or UCon... Pretty impressive soley for headers. What are the gains for regular dtlts?

They are less than that. I think around 15wtq. I'd have to look through the dyno charts to know for sure. They don't however have full sweeping gains like these do. They have smaller gains throughout the entire rpm range, with one larger gain around the middle.

Goes to show how much better a design this style is, from flow to scavenging. Also, how much these engines have in potential, compared to their stock trim.

Just imagine if these came from the factory with a set of headers like this. Those numbers would be very impressive. That'd be near 260 bhp and 290 btq. That would turn some heads.

I've never dyno'd my truck, but of all the mods done so far, the dtlt headers had the most impact on performance. I didn't feel like I lost anything on the low end, but feel definite gains from 3k on up. 15 rwhp sounds about right. The truck is almost kind of fast now...intake and catback did nothing for performance compared to dtlt. I'd definitely consider the Spec-U headers some day though. Sounds like there was alot of work done to get them to where they are.

I've been trying to do some research and can't really find a definite answer.... would these URD headers have better performance gains than the Doug Thorley headers?

The reason I am asking is I am planning on getting the urd supercharger kit one day and I saw where the stage 2 upgrade kit comes with the Doug Thorley headers. Does that mean they are better or the website just isn't updated?? Trying to figure this out.... lol

    Thanks for the input!

Yes, the spec-u headers are better in every RPM range.

Probably says that in the package because it hasn't been updated.

Okay thanks! I guess I'll be placing an order for the UCON and the URD spec-u headers within the next few weeks!

    Some of the things...
It's seems like even on a stock truck, these plus urd's y and a good muffler would net an insane increase. I wish there was a way to keep it quiet though.

Gadget will also offer quieter mufflers, or choose your own. Just need to talk with them. Their Spec-U exhaust is very tame but masculine. No rasp.

Well right now I have a borla pro-xs in place of stock muffler and I deleted the rear resonators the redneck way and just cut them out and replaced them with pipe lol. So I'm expecting it to be pretty loud with the long tube headers. I'll probably be getting the mark 3 catback or be adding some kind of high flow resonator or something similar to tone it down.

From other people's reviews, that muffler is very good at toning things down. Should still be pretty tolerable with the spec-u headers. Especially since their design over the DTLT's.

The borla? I love it! When I bought the truck it had a Flowmaster 10 series and it sounded awful. I'll be ordering the headers in the next few weeks so I guess I'll just play it by ear lol. I'm not really too concerned with noise I am really going for performance at this point.

So, I got a urd pipe and spec u headers. I installed this weekend. I have the magnaflow short offroad exhaust. Sounds like a pull tab bouncing in my muffler between 2 and 3k rpm. Never did that before. Put stock cat back back on and can still here it. Anybody else have this issue? I mean it literally sounds like crackling aluminum foil as fast as possible.
