Heh dude you can't compare it to the cost of other mods. Blowers are expensive, you want it or you don't. I'm happy as long as I'm saving some cash over a retail kit plus the headache of trying to install and tune.

agh I'm really feeling the weight of the armor and duratracs with the less dense summer air bogging down my engine. Cannot wait to get this done so my truck can get out of its own way!

The only way that's going to happen is if you regear to 4.56. With those 4.10's it's always going to have a bit of a bogg even with a sc.

Lol Paul there was no bragging, just anticipation.

And no dude... that's just wrong. Regearing will move the torque I make now back where I need it, that is true. But simply making more torque via forced induction will work too

Think about it, the v6's have 3.73

Maybe I missed typed what my point was. Re-gearing is NOT the only solution, but the cheaper of the two. As far as your torque you would be only moving it towards the top side (RPM's) a little bit. I personally would still re-gear after boosting. With the 2.5 g's your saving, still could be an option ;) The best of both worlds would be right under your foot

Oh ok, gotcha. Yeah, regearing is definitely the more practical answer, but ill probably hold off until I don't drive the truck to work so I can get 33s, its only on 32s.

If gadget can get numbers like the south africans did, the increase should be way more than a little bit! But one of the nice things about blowers over turbos is that I should see significant improvement over the whole range.

Gadget won't know the final price on the kit until he finishes it, he still has work to do.

I'd expect it to cost similar to the v6 kit.

25-40% increase I would assume depending on pully size/boost

Despite the storms here in huntsville, the truck shipped yesterday. I even have a pic that I can post when I get real internet again.

He did have to powerwash the engine bay... Oops :p albeit I did use a hose after my last mudding outing!

But it goes on a dyno here today or tomorrow for testing as stock, and then on to the rest of it.
