Havent got a chance to plug it in yet. Decided that i'm going to go back and verify every pin with a dmm to make sure the connections are solid and there arent any shorts.

But i decide to make this so that i could put a URD s/c kit on, but now im seriously considering custom turbo, which means i might not need it any more if i just stick to my map-ecu3. ...Bidding starts at $750;)

Thank you. Pretty proud that i was able to finish. About 3/4 the way thru, i started to doubt that i was looking at the diagram correctly. Fortunately i convinced myself that i was fine and finished it off. But, the proof is in the pudding so we'll see once i hook it up. Its feels quite accomplishing to get it done.

Congrats justrynarip! If it helps, I just used the diagram from shredo post #22 to make a second wiring harness for another forum member and can confirm that what we documented works. If you wired it up to what was documented, it should work just fine! Definitely keep us posted.

That document was definitely an amazing time saver. You sure put alot of time and effort into yours when you made your first one if you didnt have that handy little cheat sheet. I have a new great appreciation for what you've done:bowdown:

Im not too worried about the wires being to the wrong pins, i'm more worried about joints breaking as i wrestled with the shrink wrap.

As far as the ecu pairing procedure, will i need a writeable scan tool to do that?

Nope, you just need a jumper wire. I think even a paper clip will work in a pinch. Just stick it directly into the OBD port. Pins 4 and 13 I believe.

So I read the forum about the ECU pairing procedure, and it refers to an SST to jump pins 4 and 13. I have no idea what an SST is, but you're saying that all I need is a wire to connect the two pins, and then leave the key on for 30 mins?

I might be able to get around to doing this tonight or some other time this week. Will let you know how it goes.

Yes, that's all you need to do. I'm not 100% sure but I think SST is just a generic term for special Toyota tools, I believe it stands for special service tool. In this case it's just an obd connector with pins 4 and 13 shorted. A paperclip that has a wire diameter similar to an OBD connector's pin diameter bent into a U shape is all you need.

Well, now I've been a few rounds with this harness...installing, taking out and trouble shooting, installing, trouble shooting. I've got everything in order now, meaning the harness with an 07 ecu runs and drives my truck with no CEL's. By saying it drives my truck, I mean up until 2nd gear anyways. Mine is an auto trans, and for some reason, 1st and 2nd behave just fine, but it wont shift into 3. Its as if I have the selector in 2 rather than D. Any thoughts? I double checked the wires that pertain to this, and everything is OK, so I guess my next plan of attack is to see what happens if I actually do put the selector in 2 and maybe it'll drive normally(I swapped back in my 09 ECU before I thought to try it :smack:). If that's the case, then those pins in the diagram are wrong for my truck for some reason.

Be aware those documents are for 2005 trough 2008. If you need a reference document or a page listed (like AT155) in one of those documents, let me know. I probably can help

Good to know. They should still be helpful in trouble shooting. I'll let you know if I need anything.

If you can't get it sorted, I can offer to swap it into my truck to see if it exhibits the same behavior. If it does, then you know it's something with the harness. If the harness works fine on my rig, then it could be the 07 ECU or something different on your truck.

Ok, good to know if I end up not being able to get it dialed in. I also noticed that my rearview backup camera doesn't turn on when I go into reverse. Does your truck have a camera?

Hmmm...The thing is that I went through pin by pin and checked for continuity as well as surrounding pins for shorts. Everything checks out.
    Thanks. No CEL'S...
