URD Supercharger Install on a post-09 Tacoma

I didn't forget . How many miles you have on that engine again? That'd be my concern. I mean no offense by that either. Your truck is kickass. Once you're at that sort of output though I'm guessing you are getting close to that fine line between reliable and powerful.

Not to mention your several clutch changes and other mods to deliver that power.

I agree on the ECU! Even a guy like me that just wants 300ish RWHP eventually and maybe 350 ft lbs torque could use some engine management!

 

Id say im sitting right about there with no engine management yet. I go back and forth in installing the MAF calibrator or picking up a PnP Unichip and paying the extra to see if that will tune better for me

 

I'm hoping I'm right about there as well... thinkin a little more for me.

just need to buckle down and find a shop to Dyno.

and if I keep the truck... gonna have one of these awesome mofo's build me a harness and squeeze some more out of the truck..

 

Yuuuuup. Once i get fuel pump and headers on im going to find a dyno and see whats up. I'm betting I break 300 rwhp with my set up. I made sure to buy the non-potato-charger, unlike RL

at that point, I think we will have the same setup.. minus me having the Valve Body Upgrade.. but you have that extra pedal too.. lol

Not Really a let down, I'm pretty happy with how my current setup performs, so It can only go up from there...go buy a GTO already.

I'm not convinced the 6 speed is slower. I'd like to see the same truck with the same mods go against each other. Obviously 6 speed vs 5 speed

 

How bout this, Once I get everything installed, and get a new clutch in there, me and Justus hit up the track lol. Pretty sure we're sitting on the same upgrades?

I'm glad to hear you guys have gotten the ecu swap working. I panicked when the TRD supercharger got discontinued and I ordered one up. I'm staying tuned in case this stuff applies to FJ's though. The girlfriend would be very pleased to beat my taco.

Have you upgraded your clutch plate? Seems like the guys who get up around that area have to go to some higher end stuff in the clutch or they burn it up.

 

Puh! I'm already at roughly 300(Give or take probably 20) and my clutch is slipping like crazy when I hammer down! Already looking in to a URD Stage 2, sounds like that will have enough snap back to keep it from slipping when I want to go fast, but also allow me to slip it whilst offroad. If anyone has one and can chime in, I'd appreciate it! I'm just looking for a good clutch that can snap back quick, isn't SUPER stiff, but can be slipped somewhat offroad. I don't mind stalls, but I don't want to be restarting the truck every 10 seconds when I'm trying to climb a hill lol...or fly up it, for that matter.
