    I know for a fact that the Spec Clutch Stage 2+ has the same feel of engagement as a stock clutch. Their Stage 3+ I'd recommend if your vehicle weighs a whole lot and is making a lot of power. That one takes around 5k miles to wear in enough to stop chattering. It will handle it though. Best one I have experienced prior to going twin disk.

    There have been plenty of high acclaims from people using the URD specific clutches. They designed out the flaws from other manufactures and made some quite robust clutches. I have no experience with them personally though.

    Just remember to account for your weight, hooning, and current/future power goals.

    Interesting! Well, I'm gonna be adding full LT and 34s/35s and armor and such, so I'm guessing the Stage 3+ will be the way to go

    Not really jelly. If I wanted a sports car that will be worth half of what it is new in a year, I would have bought a GT. I'm pretty happy with my truck and will be ecstatic when I get LT AND have good power.

    Not even 400 rwhp is going to touch a stock next gen mustang with the 5.0 L in it. Unless the driver doesn't know what they are doing.

    Then again, I'm pretty sure you'd fuck up everything on a mustang if you even took it in to a muddy parking lot. Not really a fair comparison.

    IMHO the term race truck is an oxymoron in a lot of ways. That being said they are fun as hell so who am I to judge.

    Don't worry. I get the concept of a faster then stock Tacoma being a great Swiss army knife sort of vehicle. My comment was just in general. It's tiring hearing the back and forth on whether the potato charger or Gtfo is a better buy. It all depends on the buyer. Personally I bought my SC just to gain back the feeling all of my Fords have had powerwise and make it easier to tow my small travel trailer in the mountains. Then I ended up buying the wife a Ford anyways to do those things :anonymous:

    I find my SC quite useful in the mountains on trails. I didn't actually buy it for that so yay for secondary uses.

    I also find the resale blasts to be pretty silly as well. You wont get even 50 percent back on your mods. So why throw out the value card at all considering your resale would take the same sort of shit kicking after your mods.

    Yea I didn't buy the new truck for resale. I got all my mistakes out on my 2011 prerunner, doing what I know I want on the 2015.

    I definitely noticed a difference in offroad power as well with the SC, loved it. I definitely bought as a swiss army Truck.

    So i went through and checked every connection again, and getting a P0705 transmission range sensor malfunction code, and still wont shift from 2 to 3. @Vassily28 do u think theres any way it could be a problem with the ecu, or is it likely with the harness?

    Wow, you're tough with me this morning. I've not gone trough all the diagrams but i would say:
    - Have you worked on the valve body of your transmission? Cause it could be a mechanical problem on the AT or on the harness of the automatic transmission.
    - It could be your harness going to the ECU for sure and if it's the case there is a lot of connections to check cause a lot of different signals are use to control AT operation and shifting point. One thing is sure, shift from 2nd to 3 rd is controlled by solenoid valve S2.

    Hope it can help but this kind of problem can require a lot of thinking and analysis.

    The thing is that my normal ecu runs the truck just fine. Its only when I swap for the pre-09 ecu with the harness that I have issues. Just ruling out any mechanical issues. I'm starting to lean towards it being a problem with the ecu.

    Yeah, but the problem is that I wan't to try on one that is confirmed to work. Krisxone offered to try it in his truck, so might just send it over to him.

    Before Kris sent me my adapter, he tested it out on his truck and ECU. That’s the best idea is to send him your harness because we know his Pre-09 ECU works. That will give you the verdict on if your Pre-09 isn’t functioning properly.
