URD Supercharger

What do you mean I can still run it? Do we have to get smogged? Ever since I had my truck since 2008, I never got a request to smog! Will this continue or will they eventually ask for a smog, and if they do, what do I do if I have the URD supercharger installed? I'm really considering this or the TRD supercharger.

 

Typically you have to smog after the first five years in cali so you should be up for smog soon. I'd install it after the smog, should be good for quite a few years or until you decide to sell the truck...New owner may have to smog it after buying it for registration.
TRD charger installed by dealer SHOULD pass smog.

not really, you could find a "good" smogger to help you out. also, if you just need a little bit more power and you're worried about smogging, go with the trd. it should pas smog. the urd, id recommend if you're trying to race ford raptors out in the desert.

Does the gas mileage for you guys with the supercharger stay about the same as long as you're not mashing on the gas? Also, how obnoxious is the blow off valve noise?

 

Hey sorry for the revive of this post but how is all of your URD Supercharges holding up, I wan't reliability but due to the rumors about the TRD Supercharge being discontinued I still want to give my Tacoma some power just don't want to destroy my engine or have to constantly mess with it just to keep it running. If I do it I will do the whole 9 yards URD Supercharger, URD CAI, URD Headers, URD Y-Pipe, URD Cat Back, and everything URD!!

 

Depending if yours is auto or manual, you might also need to add IPT valve body upgrade to your list.

 

Is the TRD supercharger being discontinued? I was really looking forward to getting that.
