Bro, I mean how does your shifter feel after Coupe back filled it with the epoxy. Basically is it worth it!! I know Coupe does killer work, and probably made a big difference!!!

I think you have me mistaken for someone else. I was asking what coupes mod was so I don't even know what you're referring to.

My bad man, I thought you wereStOrMyThEtAcO. There is a great dude on here named Coupe that fabricates all kinds of cool stuff, from battery hold down to custom shifters. Right now he has a service where he back fills your shifter to make it much tighter and more responsive when shiftng. He also offers the service for the TRD short shifter that is suppose to be awesome!! Did you have any questions about the squeak issues?

No I was just curious about the mileage you had on your setup but you answered that already. But now that we're on the subject I was thinking of doing the short throw when I do the rest of the urd install. Where is he located?

So I'm assuming no one has the torque-U flywheel? Lol

Please do not anyone think that URD purposely ignores threads like this. Just usually not aware of them. I handle a ton of phone calls everyday and 100+ emails. Just no time left over to troll the MANY different forums. If you ever need anything please contact URD directly, do not send a PM. URD is not not going to see it.

I know this release bearing thing is a PITA. I have detailed an overall explanation about it in a thread here:

@Gadget@URD have you guys had any feedback on the torque-u flywheel? I didn't see any reviews on the website for it.

If you do a lot of towing, do a lot of off roading, the kind where you go slow over rocks and stumps, or do a LOT of stop and go driving on your way to work, the TORQUE-U flywheel kicks ass!!

We used an FJ as our test vehicle and then one day I was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic and was amazed at how much easier it was to drive. Did not need to rev the engine up anywhere near as much to get going. This should also increase clutch life, and it smoothed out that herky jerky throttle logic Toyota has.

If you have a light XRunner and do street racing the light weight flywheel would be the way to go.

I'm quoting myself here from Nov 2015. I still haven't done anything to my truck and the squeak is still there. However, the clutch is still engaging just fine and nothing major has happened. Just that squeak. I've been trying to get a hold of URD but they aren't answering back. I called, email and Facebook'd. I spoke with a local clutch expert and he said he can do the labor to install the URD FIX-U Hydro conversion kit for about $420. So where talking around $1k. But he won't warrant the labor with aftermarket parts. So now I'm at a loss. I may try to do the clutch slave cylinder rebuild to see if that helps.

I am in the exact same situation. Everything still works properly, but the chirp is sounding pretty bad. The previous owner just got a new clutch 5k miles ago and said the chirp has been happening that whole time. I just don't want to go dump 900$ into the rig to not fix a single thing.

Hey guys just a quick update. The squeal came back after having the TOB upgrade kit on the truck for about 3-4 months now. Contacted URD and am waiting to hear back. Will update as necessary and hopefully they have a fix for this by now. for those of you debating on what to do I would hold off for now until something more reliable is on the market.

Thanks for the update! Been debating on whether I should do it or not. The chirp is so annoying and sounds terrible when your showing off your truck

By TOB "upgrade" you mean the conversion kit or do you mean the TOB and sleeve?

no not the conversion kit that is the hydro bearing. The upgrade kit is with the sleeve.

Just confusing because URD already stated in detail the sleeve is not a permanent fix
