i have a 2007 trd dcsb v6 4x4 with a k&n cai and my cat back needs to be replaced due to rust.

i am currently going to run the stock y pipe but will be adding the urd y pipe in the future.

my question is should i go with the urd mark 3 cat back or the aero turbine cat back.

What are your long term plans? If you're gonna boost, then 3" and URD y-pipe should be okay. If you plan to stay NA, then you might wanna find dyno sheet from a NA engine to see what the torque curve looks like. Unless you like just being loud while going nowhere fast.

Having installed the URD y-pipe, I noticed a loss in low end but revs faster. Also in AZ, when temps get past triple digits, the URD y-pipe really heats up the trans temps in traffic. This is with 5.5lbs of boost at 2600ft elevation and 80F.

i plan on staying na and i want to add the urd y pipe after this winter as i am driving from ny to denver and wouldn't mind having the cats keep my drive a little quieter.

also any discount codes or laborday sales may sway my option too

The aero kit looks like stock design with an aero muffler. Might be different steel but its basically the same as stock with a muffler swap and different tip. You can pick up an aero muffler for ~$100 if you go that route, I personally wouldn't spend the $400 on that when it can be done for ~$100

i agree with you @mightytacoman but i do need to replace the cat back completely as mine is rusted out with broken hangers. and it is quite convenient to be able to order a cat back kit that mounts right up no labor needed. also the 304 stainless mandrel bent piping is better than anything i can get made around where i live in elmira ny

A fellow N.Y. Guy. Gotta love our winters and how hard they are on vehicles. I'm from South of Utica

I am partial to the XL Aero Exhaust line. They are resonated and the all stainless internal construction won't break down and wear out like packing style muffers.

That Aero system sounds good due to the two muffling components. I like it.

Why not go with the full URD spec U exhaust if you are planning on replacing the y pipe anyways? it sounds amazing.

I would NOT run the URD 3" with a ypipe, and especially if u want to run long tubes later.
The truck will drive like a civic.

The Spec-U is currently under revision, due to buzzing humming sounds.

It was mentioned on XRU a few weeks ago. And they stop selling the spec you exhausted because of that, until they come up with a solution.
