URD Y pipe install

I opened up a can of worms with this y pipe. Now I need to go through my exhaust

 

I've got my Y-pipe already, and the truck hasn't even been built, LOL!!!
But I did order the truck with a TRD exhaust, so I won't be needing an exhaust anytime soon.
And yes, this y-pipe will be on the truck probably before I have 500 miles on it (I'll probably put it on the day of or the day after I get the truck home).

 

Anyone who has the Y pipe installed with TRD exhaust had a chance to record some sound clips yet? Tried searching the YouTubes but was unsuccessful.

 

Or any issues or more pictures? I keep getting drawn back to this. Just need to get it.

 

This is now on my radar. When I was in moab i smacked the pipe under the transfer case ahhh no damage. What's really selling me is the little performance gain you guys talk about. Definitely capable of installing myself . What's the total price with shipping anyone know?

Keep in mind if you go with the y pipe you'll more than likely need resonators as well. Unless u like the fart pipe raspy sound.

 

My vehicles have always had custom exhaust work done . I know many people on here are against mrbp exhaust. Don't like the sound quality. But on here is the only complaints I hear, when out in the real world I get many compliments on how good my truck sounds

 

Many eh? Nice, good for you. I had to weld up two resis because it was unbearable to me.

 

precisely why I am looking for sound clips. My personal tolerance for loud exhaust systems seems pretty high considering the tuned DC5 I used to drive... But I would like to have sort of an idea of what exactly I’m gettin myself into beforehand.

 

My y pipe is hooked up to the TRD exhaust. I am over the TRD. It is still too quiet for my taste even with the y pipe. I’m thinking about getting a different cat back system or having a shop weld in a muffler. I can’t afford to lose any spare tire clearance with my 285 stuffed up there.

 

I Just ordered my urd y pipe this morning . I replaced my old mbrp performance xp cat back system couple weeks ago with the same setup . Im super excited to have the ypipe . by by back resonators finally

 

I just hope my lift with front drive line angles doesn't screw this up

 

I’m lifted about 2” all the way around and I had no issues.

 

how big of lift do you have? whats your clearance on front driveline

 

I went with the rc 6in lift but after heavy winch bumper and few other mods i had to do its more like a 4in lift all around

 

Im not sure about my clearances. Probably pretty close to stock.

 

sadly. down the road though im gonna get beefier front springs like 700# to 800# front springs and a progressive rear leaf packs for 6in

 

ok if anything if it dosent fit ill talk with urd to resolve the issue if not ill sell it or mod it to fit lol

 

I keep forgetting to make a sound clip of mine. I haven’t had any issues with mine.
