I found a new one in Maryland for the same price....

    https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Use...4WD-Baltimore-t68367_L14959#listing=188860229

Based off some quick reading I did the dealer has been willing to negotiate a few thousand off their asking price. May be worth it paying an extra thousand for a brand new truck....

Really can u send me link? Most have mark ups even tho they list the msrp. When u call them they'll ask for more in general . I do know someone who bought a pro 4runnwr in Missouri for msrp and he's from cali as well so buying for msrp exists just not in cali.

Cali dealership right now wanted 9k over msrp. I spoke to someone who paid 3500 over msrp.

Again reason why I got it was Bc of the sunroof! Also it came with the predator steps and roof rack which I know many don't like but I know I'll use it for extra storage on top when I go camping with my family.

I am paying MSRP... no market adjustment markups .
He won’t budge on the price...
Every vehicle that my family and I have purchased thru him have been below or way below invoice.

But he wasn’t having any of that this time ....plus he said there is like 3 other guys that are willing to pay MSRP..!
And he has a waiting list ...not sure if he just doing his sales pitch on me..
Though he has never lied to me all these years ...that is why I keep going back to him.

I edited my post with the link. May or may not help. But personally I’d rather pay a thousand or two more for a seat that hasn’t been farted in by another.

    Nope ... no mark up...
My son purchased a 4 runner pro from him last year , and it was MSRP.

The owner of the store doesn’t charge a mark up on any of their vechiles ...it’s MSRP or lower .

I know that my 2018 will be made on the 20th of next month...
And then it’s how long it takes to get to the dealership...
I know he won’t another one till next year ..
But he does have a 4 runner pro in white coming in next month.

That's a good dealer. If one tries to shaft you then go to another. When I bought my OR a few years back I had a sales rep, try bitter sweet in the end. Always pay around invoice price below or above a couple hundred. There is always someone out there. msrp is great on a hard to find vehicle.

Would be interesting if someone actually built up a "faux" pro that is more time/money than its worth.

It’s a Pro with an aftermarket sunroof. Either the original owner had it done after purchasing or they had it done at the time of purchase. It’s not an uncommon option by the dealerships along with leather seats, stereo system, car alarms and more.

They still offer Cement in '18.

It's just not a pro exclusive.

If you are hot for Cement, buy one model lower and add the Pro trinkets.

Have you seen this truck in person?

From the linked pics I can not see a sunroof on that truck. There very well could be I can not see it.

Like the others have said, aftermarket sunroof sounds sketchy. I'd go for a new truck versus a recently used new truck, various reasons could convince me, and with the pro model, I wouldn't want to take chances with a vehicle someone got rid of for what ever reason.

The roof rack and sunroof sound like a strange combo if the roof rack is to be used.

When given the option, I like a sunroof, but anytime I had one Id rather there be a solid roof.

I believe in MD you have up to 48hours after purchase to return the vehicle, find out for sure.

Looks like a pro to me. I'll take this opportunity to say that Toyota should loose the pro door badge, if I owned a pro, I'd leave the badge on the door since that's the way it is. I don't like the new trend of large badging on trucks. The new Ram has a similar sized badge on the hood or fender.

Edit Toyota claims to have the Best Availabilty of Tacomas EVER right now!

According to their marketing campaign, that might work to your advantage.

I believe every model above a SR5 started as a SR5, TRD OR(TX TRD pro), TRD Sport, & Limited.

Pros don't come with a sunroof. If it has one it's an aftermarket.

Exactly what I did. Wanted the Pro but end up getting the Off Road because of the Tech Pack, Dual Climate Control and Sun Roof. I have everything off a Pro on my Off Road now. Glad I went this route. Im happy and so is wifey ;-)
