Hello, My OME 884's and shocks came with no instructions. I have no idea whether the spring seats INSIDE the cup or if the cup is turned over and thus the spring would seat OUTSIDE the cup.

I had midas do the spring change and I knew something didn't look right... I just want confirmation before I run back and demand they redo it.

Thanks for the replies guys. Midas switched the cup for no charge and I now have my lift. =)

Interesting note... apparently the OME assembly will be functional with the cup upside down. Before your answers arrived, I had been searching google for pics of the assembly and 9 out of the 10 pics I found showed the cup facing up... the other pic had it facing down AND on a daily driven vehicle. The owner of the truck was complaining that he didn't get much lift. oops.

Thanks for preventing me from being that guy.

^ i think that one pic was from a guy here trying to sell his stuff w/ it installed upside down. when i called him on it, he made up some BS story that it could be installed either way, that he has more important things to do than search for install pics..blah blah, then a member posted the actual install instructions showing it installed cup up (holding water) and we never heard from him again...!! good times:D
