Urgent problem zero electric power solved… I’m an idiot

Yeah, with dual-battery setup + DC/DC charging etc, photos (even better would be video) of the aftermarket cabling & switches will probably be useful.

 

Checking any of the below fuses for power would work too.

 

Let's not forget the ground wire......
A lot of people forget about the grounds (Even I do)

 

Providing you didn't instantly blow the main fuse it would.

 

Did you connect terminals backwards at any point? That would blow a fuse or two, look at the alternator fuse in particular. Make sure all the stock grounds are connecting (they can rust out if living in the northeast).

OK, I am dying to know if he has power to the main post in the CB panel....should take a volt meter and about 20 seconds....

 

Check your starter and alternator wire connections.

 

We're all here, but is the OP? We seem to have lost him and TnShooter was doing a great job of leading him down the path

 

Maybe he took the plastic caps off the battery cables...

I'd like to know if the fuse box main power terminal has 12v as previous member did mention with the blue arrow

 

This sounds like a grounding issue to me, or possibly something shorted

0.01. Volt Checked resistance in neg cable to body ground and it’s fine.

 

It would be faster to diagnose if you do a drop voltage test on the terminals. YouTube if you don’t know how.

You can run your multimeter inline too,
If you think it’s a parasitic draw. Or use a clampmeter.


Though I’m not convinced it’s not the battery.

What is the exact battery voltage, what the cranking voltage? What’s the resistance of the battery?

 

So not much to check, you have a problem between the positive post of your battery and that stud. It's either the connection at the battery or the connection where the wire is crimped on to the terminal that goes on that stud.
