I suspected this would be the case. If I decide to get the bumper winch combo, I will investigate a spring and shock that will alleviate the sagging without an unduly harsh ride.

At this time there are no plans for a lift.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
If you are on stock springs they are progressive and will sag with a second battery practically which is why you get a smooth on road drive. Switching to a linear spring rate will compensate for any weight and provide just as nice of a ride. There are also many other factors to consider, tire ply, pressure, sway bar and strut valving rates.

I have this bumper with a 12k winch and skids up front. I use 5100s stock no rise setting and 886x coils. I run 36 psi on 6 ply tires without any sway bar and love it. To each his own, any local to Colorado Springs are welcome to meet up and drive to see for yourself if you like as well. Everybody has differently calibrated butt dyno/seismograph.

I've been looking for install docs or videos on your site. All I can find are FJ videos, and the link in the 2012-2015 is non-existent. :notsure:

    ----------------------------------------------------------
Edit: Doh! I didn't click on [Download] :homer:

And I love this instruction in Step 6:

    Step 6:
You will need to cut off the factory recovery loop on the driver's side of the subframe. This steel is relatively soft and can be cut off easily with any 4” grinder and a cutoff disc. We suggest cutting it off flush with the subframe. Always wear safety glasses and gloves when doing this. You will create sparks so now flammable materials should be in the area while cutting.

    ;)

For others running the US Offroad mounts, where are you connecting the small ground wire from the winch?

I've got mine installed, wired and working, but can't find a ground point for that ring terminal within the reach of the wire from the mount location. Should I just splice it into the ground line for my light pods when I get those run in?

I love mine! The install wasn't bad, but you'll need an angle grinder with a cutoff disk. Harbor freight has one that'll work.

I have it loaded with an English 12k, and the relentless fab reinforcement plates. (I had to get creative mounting the solenoid box on the winch.)

    I've got ICON 2.5 ET's with 650 lb. springs.

I wonder if they would handle this (63 Lbs.), a winch (50 lbs.), and an Avid bumper bar (32 lbs.). Kee-ryps! That's 145 lbs. !!

I have the same coilovers as you do. I have an undercover winch mount and a warn m-8000 with synthetic line so I swapped out the 650s for 700 lb springs. Made a world of difference. Preload is way less and my front isn't sagging nearly as bad as it was with the 650s.

What did it cost you for the 700's ?

I can't find them on their site.

These are the ones you need. Wheelers is a vendor on here and I would highly recommend them.

    Thanks!

I just found the number as well on the Icon site #158508

I see that they are 700 lb./14" vs. the 650 lb./13", so ya, that would allow the shock to work more and soften the ride with all that weight. This will definitely be on my list.

Moar fackin' $$$$. I'm starting to hate TW.

I've bought from Wheeler's before. That would be Dan out in Oregon, right?

@usoffroad is there any reason these winch mounts can't be made in an aluminum version? I would defiantly be a customer and I'm sure others would be all over it as well.

Can one of you guys with the 2012-2015 models give me the measurement from the top lip of the lower grille opening to the top of the Hawse fairlead opening and the top edge of the recovery shackle mounts, please?

    Thanks!
