Silliest post all year. And we have had some wacky ones. The post completely dissed Toyota and didn't even hint at a negative toward the soldiers.

Agreed. The comments, even though meant to be lighthearted, are not funny to anyone who's served, especially during wartime. The only thing I'd add is if I was one of those guys in that firefight who would clean the upholstery cause it'd be real brown in color afterwards. Thank you God we have people willing to sacrifice their life if need be to allow the rest to be free. Now that I've re-read the posts I do see it was not mean to be disrespectful towards our service members. Sometimes we who have served are a little jumpy, guilty as charged. Hey that was funny.

Those SF operators wouldn't give two shits if people on a truck enthusiast forum mocked them. Just sayin.

That article just made the resale value higher on my truck, not that I would ever get rid of it, especially with a story like that.

Good job OP, you post a great article, shows our military doing a great job, and the contributions made by a TRD Pro Tacoma!

Then comes the shit talking, that totally detracts from the initial post that you made!

Question, how many of you shit talkers have actually served?

And you know that the boys serving support your right to free speech,
why do you feel the need to turn what was a great original post, into some kind of comedy?

    going to be fun!
With all do respect, I still don't see the disrespect too our great Military men and women here on his thread. But that could just be my interpretation on the content posted and lighthearted fun at the issues that have been well documented with these trucks.

If Uncle Sam would have taken me I would have been in that line of great Men and Women serving but with a Heart Condition had them say thanks but no thanks.

Too those that Uncle Sam took in and serve or has served thanks for the sacrifice and tremendous support for the Freedoms and Liberty we have today…..

My hats off too these Bad Ass individuals that showed why we are #1 at what we do too kick ass not matter what adversity throws our way in the course of a mission and to survive …..

    Keep the Faith!!

We clearly support and respect our soldiers. Check the sig. It was just a joke about the thing that we own and drive, which is the truck.

If a single person on this forum said anything disrespectful about any service member, I promise a post would not go by without nearly everyone jumping on whoever said it. If this thread were truly disrespectful a lot more would be said already.

As someone who have served, I didn't see any disrespected. I can see some of the posters have taken the content out of text and gotten butt hurt over nothing. BTW cool story to OP

You crossed the line with that last statement. Who do you think you are shouting down anyone by throwing out that precious little crap nugget? You know absolutely nothing about the posters, their patriotism, their civic activities, and how they may have served this country and their fellow man. Short of when someone is lying about their service attempting to steal the valor of those who did serve you should keep that one in your pocket.

I don't know whats happened the the last few decades and where people like you came from. There was a time not very long ago when a large percentage of our population were serving, or had served, in the military. They understood that not everyone that serves is a genius, or a glorious hero, and some of them were even bad people. They understood the insanity of war and the arrogance of politicians. They laughed at Bill Maulden's comics and saw how they had been trapped in untenable situations like Heller's Yosarian. They wrote, produced, watched, and laughed at TV shows like Mister Roberts, Gomer Pyle, Sgt Bilko, CPO Sharkey, McHales Navy, and MASH. Every one of those examples lampoons the military and military service more than anything your fertile imagination hallucinated about this thread. Fire up Netflix and check them out Francis.

My original post, my thoughts at the time were what a great thread, giving respect to our service members, and the contribution of their Tacoma, pretty cool!
It bothers me that some feel the need to start bagging on the Tacoma, and vent their problems with the truck, sorry if it didn't strike me as funny!
So then comes the shout down cause people choose to ridicule me and my opinion. Hey disrespect brings the same in return, tough shit if you don't like my opinion,
you start with the "Francis" comments, hey fuck you too!

As far as crossing the line OP, you just did, you want to refer to my service as a "precious little crap nugget"!
I imagine I do know some what about the "posters, their patriotism, their civic activities, and how they may have served this country and their fellow man."
Who are you to say I know absolutely nothing, and how do you have right to speak for these heroes?
So keep up with your assault on me, and I will respond in kind, so enjoy yourself Francis...
