08 Prerunner Accesscab TRD Off Road

I installed my USA Spec today and have a couple of questions. On the unit itself there are 2 switches. What are they for.

Next, Anytime I touch my steering wheel controls whether or not I am on CD1 (2008 Taco with non-JBL) the ipod responds to the control. ????

If I pause the ipod, it just seems to start playing again. What is that about???
