USA VS CANADA TRD PRO’s

I’ve just purchased a new 2023 TRD Pro in Solar Orange. I have to wait a few months for delivery. So in anticipation, I’ve been scouring the internet looking at them. To my amazement, I’ve noticed some differences between what’s been put on at the factory for the Canadian trucks when compared to the ones sold in in the States.


I’ve determined the Hood Decal of Baja, California has been omitted as well as the Brake Assist function. The tailgate Insert Decals have been installed on the Canadian trucks where it seems the American models haven’t.

Is there anything else?

 

The us version comes with a gun holster as the canadian comes with a beer holster.

Canadian TRD Pro doesn't come with rear parking sonar.

 

I’m aware of differences in the availability of configurations between the US and Canada, but not the changes you are referring to.

What is a “brake assist function”? Are you are referring to the brake booster? If so, I’m pretty sure there is no difference between the US and Canada. However, there is a difference between the off-road and pro compared to the other trims.

I know nothing about tailgate inserts or Baja hood decals. You could maybe post a pic of what you are referring to.

I added the hood decal to mine, though.

 

I don’t know why I said brake assist. I meant the parking sensor. Thank you all for your feedback. I think I caught all of the differences.

 

My 2022 has the emblems blacked out, I've just ordered the Hood decal and also the decals for the rear quarters TRD in black, Pro in red, not sure about those yet but hood decal I really like. Not sure but think i will leave the tailgate alone. I am also on the fence to supercharge it. Canadian dealer could not order the hood decal, but a US dealer was willing to ship to me,

 

You lucked out with the side emblems. Here’s what originally came on the 22.

 

I don’t know why but I was actually disappointed to see that.

 

I’ve see the side decals online. The black and red will look great your your Electric Lime. I’ll have to wait on the side decals for as my truck’s Solar Orange. I can’t see the red showing up very well. I would imagine there will be other options soon. The tailgate lettering is also really good. They’ll make your truck pop from the rear.

 

Do the doors on the canadian version lock?

 

One day they may come back around. Highly unlikely but you never know.

 

Just assumed that was how it came, its was the dealer owners demo I purchased, he had the 2023 model arrived which they would not sell to me. Glad they are installed, would be odd to have them silver with all other trim black.

 

I believe all Canadian models have low washer fluid sensors/indicators. Us Mericans don't get those.

 

The Canadian version horn says “sorry” when honked.

 

Traction control says “hey buddy, better slow down, don’t wanna end up tits up in the rhubarb.”

 

Y’all are funny I find the Canadian jokes hilarious. Though there new found rules no longer have me moose hunting.

 

Canadian versions:

- kMs gauge cluster.
- Different icons for the warning lights to match Canadian laws.
- Tow package standard on all pickups.
- Windshield washer fluid sensor fitted.
- French and English on warning stickers.
- Block heater mandatory (in some provinces).
-“Snow-mode” unlocks 25 extra Hp, and locker in 2WD, for doing burn-outs in mall parking lots.

 

Mine also came without blacked out emblems (sides and tailgate). But I pointed out the Canadian website to the dealer where it said the sides were supposed to be blacked out, so they installed them for free. I paid for the tailgate black lettering.
