USB behind dash

Not a fan of OEM USB placement.
This time instead of relocating to the glove, I ran left it behind the audio unit and dropped my Lightning cord if I need to use CarPlay.
This left a hole and purchased an eBay switch for 18 Camry/19 RAV. Fitment is just ok since it’s not OEM.
Illumination was close to factory lighting.

Nice! How did you end up overcoming the fitment issues? Did it snap into place properly? Is the only fitment problem the small gap around the switch? Looks very good!

 

Are you saying you put in a button that does nothing and illuminated it?

 

If it sits in place and just use switch to toggle on/off it’s fine.
The support tabs on the 2020-22 usb plug is on the top and bottom. Where as the aftermarket switch support tabs are on the sides.
