I used a usb c adapter in the regular usb port and it didn’t read for Apple play. Then I took out of the usb c adapter immediately and tried to use my regular USB and it would not read until I restarted the car.

now when I’m driving I notice sometimes the interior lights for the center nobs (temp control temp reader) would dim and then go bright. maybe it’s because it’s right between night and day? Did I mess up my truck putting that USB c adapter in?

Do you have any parks entrance stickers in the lower passenger corner of your windshield?

There is a light sensor on the passenger side dash, if it is covered it will mess with the light settings during the daytime. I wouldn’t think that plugging a USB C into a USB would be an issue, that port should have a fuse, I would guess 5 amp, to protect both the vehicle and the device.
