I purchased a dual port USB charging outlet from Cali Raised for my 2014. I'd like to install in one of the unused switch locations under the A/C controls next to the 12v outlets. Does anyone have instructions on how to access these unused spaces and how to wire the outlet?

    Thanks!

I don’t have specifics on your location but if you haven’t planned already to do this, I’d highly suggest making it a “hot” outlet all the time (ie still works/charges devices when truck is off). Worth the extra few min to tap in to a wire that is not ignition controlled.

Thanks for the suggestion. The switch is lit and I'm unsure but believe it may be constantly lit.

A little involved but not to bad to get to the lower dash: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...enter-console-clean-look-lots-of-pics.306779/

Should be a separate wire for the illumination that you tie to the dash light circuit, so it's on when they are on.

Making it constant hot is ok as long as you don't kill your battery leaving something plugged in for a long period of non running.

A few mods here and there and counting....
You could remove the hvac controls, radio, and reach back and pop out the blanks. From there fish the wires. Personally, ive taken apart the lower console many times and while its tedious, its straight forward and isn't so bad.
