Did you ever buy and install this item? It's still available. I'm thinking about odering it and wondered what you ran in to.

I bought it still waiting on it to arrive.

Idk how I overlooked it but it is coming from hong Kong. So it might be a total pos after taking a month to get here.

After a couple more days I'm going to contact them and finally my bank.

Jmaack, not much sense contacting the bank once you send it offshore. However, I am fascinated by what I can get from China and have been pretty satisfied with the results, although I haven't bought any drones or arduinos. But a VGA to Component Video adapter a year or so ago did take three weeks from China but only cost me like 3.59 and freight was included. Closest I could get here was $30 and I'd have to hide 25 feet of unwanted cable; and drive the 25 miles round trip to the electronics store. Well, I'm with you. I went ahead and ordered one of these ports, so keep posting if you happen to run into Old Murphy making new laws behind your dash.

It was 9 bucks. If I don't get what I pay for I'm covered. If not eh. But still. I got a shipped notification just a waiting game now.

I don't waste my time with USB. I plug in a 300 watt, 12 volt DC to 120 volt AC inverter. Plug in my wall wart to that. Charges the same and as fast as if it was in the house.

Sure, it looks like crap, but my devices are charged in 25% of the time.

I could run an extension cord to my rear 110 volt also but I choose not to. I'm trying to have something that looks halfway decent.

Why didn't they give us real charging ports.

Looking for a new truck right now and just test drove the new Colorado's at lunch today. Those things have 5 USB charging ports in there! Still love Tacoma's and not going Colorado but that is one thing Chevy has figured out that Toyota hasn't gotten yet. Would love to install something like this but I've just got the 12V plug in option route when needed, but my old truck would keep my iphone charged just fine.

My iPhone 6 charges at the same rate in the truck power outlet as it does at the wall at home.

Well it came today. It is definitely for the smaller blanks under climate control. Decent qualit IMO. My only complaint is is will not sit ush like the atrac button. It is going to stick out maybe 3/16 when installed.

Gonna pop it in the dash later. Idk yet if I am going to run it.

Looking forward to a pic once you toss it in there. If you do wire it up I'd be interested to know what you did and how it works for sure.

Figured I'd try it out and see how it charges. To my surprise it lights up blue when powered. I will more than likely be opening it up and disabling the blue led. Also it looks like it can be easily modified to make it sit in a little more flush.

I am finally getting to install my plug. Fitment is great! Ran in to one snag and need some help. When removing the center dash section that the radio is in and holds the 4wd switch one of the yellow clips popped off and shot n to the dash. I pulled the whole front off and can not find it.

Does anyone have a small yellow clip laying around? I need one. Pics to follow.

This truck has so many plugs. Here is the back of my radio there is one missing plug. I don't see any hanging unplugged. Should it be there? Someone help so I can get it all back together lmao

I never did find one so I assume it's something I don't have. Everything works as it did before I removed soooo...
