@DPJ can you post a pic of your head unit? Maybe someone can identify if there is a Reset method for that particular unit.

What happens if you turn off the blue tooth and don't connect the phone with a cable? Will it then recognize the thumb drive?

With bluetooth turned off and a thumb drive plugged in, the head unit will not highlight the usb icon.

Found these for a soft reset and a hard reset.

I was looking for a place that had a small reset button or pin you press. But those instructions popped up when I put in the number on the bottom right of your radio for a reset.

I tried the resets and they didn’t work. My unit doesn’t have an app button, so I couldn’t try that method. When I held down the power button, it just turned off and on repeatedly. I was able to delete personal data, but nothing changed. I disconnected the battery for ten minutes and after reconnecting, the usb worked. It took several minutes for the usb icon to highlight and another minute or so before the random, repeat and pause buttons lit up.

I guess I should have tried that first, but I did pull the under hood fuse for the radio without any results.

Thank you for your help. I still don’t know what happened, but at least I’ll know what to try if it happens again.

All's well that ends well... right?
Glad you got it working. All I ever listen to in my truck is music on flash drive. Real music... like what you posted in your screen pic. I know I'd be pissed if mine quit working.. :annoyed:

My old iPhone without a sim card will work when plugged into the usb, but I have to turn the music on every time I start the truck. The flash drive comes on automatically where it left off.

My other iPhone works through bluetooth and comes on automatically, but album art doesn't show.

Stevie17, thank you for your suggestions and the time you took to find them.
