Did a search for this since I'm experiencing intermittent issues with it not working either - pretty sad they include that port, but not powerful enough to charge a phone (99.9% of that port usage by consumers would be for that). So what did Toyota provide that option for? Only to upload images to the head unit??

I didn't make it to the end of the thread, so maybe someone already said this... but trucks can get dirty and maybe you've just collected grit and grime and lint in the connector. You can GENTLY tease out the dirt with a toothpick (GENTLY), and even a q-tip dampened with rubbing alcohol (GENTLY, while the truck is off lol).

edit: go with canned air first, then work up to the toothpick and the alcohol

My USB just started acting up tonight as well. wouldn't be a big deal, other than i like to connect my iphone to my head unit to play songs from and have my turn-by-turn google maps instructions come through on it.

today the phone kept saying "Cannot Use Accessory: This accessory uses too much power". worked perfectly fine since i bought the truck in january 2017. any thoughts?
