I want to hardwire my Garmin Nav power cable behind the dash, and I know how to splice into the wires on the USB cable, but were do you get power from. More importantly, were do you get 5V of power, or can you just run 12V to the Garmin? I have seen the "hardwire" kits on Amazon, but figured someone here has to have figured this out. I dont want to use the SUB connection for audio in or anything special, I just want to get power.

I tried to search for it, but didnt find anything, sorry if my searching sucks.

SwingCase, driver side. PVC Bike rack. Aftermarket stereo.
It cost 12 bucks to get a dedicated hard wire for the Garmin. Worth it.

Ok, thanks, I will likely go that route.
