iPods connected to the USB should read folders, but I've never tried.

Downloaded Tag&Rename and indexed by Album and Genre. That seems to have worked, but it's still a poor system on Toyota's part. I play MP3s on six different systems and this is by far the worst.
Really appreciate all the advice from those who responded to the question, you guys are Great!

Try pg. 123 of the Head Unit manual...!!
I put 1 artist/folder and then all of his songs go in there....
    Good luck.
Format to FAT 32 before starting...

My hierarchy seems to work fine as long as the files are dropped into the USB stick folder as:

    +Artist A Folder
    --Album A Folder
    --Album B Folder
    +Artist B Folder
    --Album A Folder
    --Album B Folder

It just doesn't seem conducive for loading a playlist. How are people loading a multi-artist playlist? :smash:

I'd say then you'd just select Songs/Ramdom play and let it choose songs randomly..
