Use 4th Gen Cameras for recording

My Trailhunter came with dashcam, so i've been thinking to get rear dashcam as well. Now, there is bunch of cameras already on the truck, so im thinking if i can use them to record or something like that. Is there a aftermarket products where you can tap into the cameras and record?

 

I added the wolfbox g900 pro. It turns my rear view mirror to a rearview camera and records front and back. But most important it has park mode which records when the vehicle is parked

 

I have the same question. It would be so nice to use the built in cameras for recording, and sentry mode. Tesla does it!

There's probably technically a way to tap into a bunch of wires and add a box, but would be some major surgery. If someone could develop a plug and play way to do it I'd buy it. For now I've just ordered a used OEM dash cam. Only front facing, and parking mode only stay on for like 4 hours I think, and only records in parking mode after an impact, but it's something.

 

Too bad that trailhunter comes with some crazy mirror to view the cameras on the back

 

Thats exactly i was thinking! My wife has tesla and the only thing i like is the sentry mode lol. I got Toyota integrated dashcam which is like $500....a bit of a waste lol and its huge!
