    The Sony MEX-n5100bt, MEX-GS610bt, and MEX-GS810bt will all support AppRemote. The radios can be a bit tricky to fit behind the iPad mount. It's just a process of trial and error.

    I'm getting excited to finally finish these ones and send them out! Should all be sent out by the end of the week. Just waiting on parts and paint. I'll try to get you some pictures of how we mounted the radio in HolyReptar's truck once we install the new kit next week.

    My product is a pressure fit system. It does not require, nor have a place, for magnets. You'll find that it's very easy to remove the iPad when you want to, and it is held in place by the kit better than magnets could do.

    It's not really recommended. Due to differences electronic parameters of the microphones, using the factory one instead of the one meant for the Sony radio usually results in problems.

    You can give it a try, though. You'll just need to find the +/- wires of the factory microphone and splice them into the same style connector that the Sony mic uses.
