I'e ran a grinder off of it, a heat gun, a blender, a soldering iron, a dremel, charged my drone batteries, ran my snap on worklight, ran an electric grill while camping. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Mines a 2nd gen though but I'm pretty sure they're the same.

I leave my dewalt radio plugged up and charging when I go to the beach, then when on the sand, plug up the iphone to the aux jack and tunes for 5-6 hrs. Better than leaving windows down and getting all that surf spray on the inside of the cab..

I ran a sump pump in an emergency. It only ran it for a few minutes before it kicked out

As with most, to pump up the air mattress. I bring a 50 ft. extension cord to reach my tent from the truck. I once used it to turn on a light bulb on a clamp, to set up camp in the dark.

Do you guys run the plugged in electronics with the car running, acc mode, or off?

I've used mine to air up inner-tubes, an air mattress, etc. I'd be curious to see if it would run an electric chainsaw. Think those are well over the wattage limit in the inverter. I added a pair of connectors, + and -, to the interior ceiling of the shell, which allowed my lighting. I've now mounted an AC inverter to sit higher up so that I can use this to charge or run a laptop without turning on the AC. I don't worry much about the battery not starting the car... haven't had an issue yet, but I don't run it for all that long. Also keep a Black and Decker power station which can jumpstart, compress air, and provide decent AC backup.

ACC mode for light loads, engine at idle for anything with a large power load, and off (with installed separate 12v->110V inverter)

I use mine while camping. I plugged in a powerstrip and charged everybody's phones, tablets, e-readers, e-cigarettes, and our various bluetooth speakers. It was really convenient.

And yes... we camp and still use phones and tablets and such... judge away.

I believe it's an 18' string that fits perfectly? Whatever the standard size is.
