Used market just crazy

Bought a new 2021 Taco SR(utility package, no rear seats, less speakers) in June for $26,290 including doc fee. I'm selling to Carvana for $28,865 and picking up new 2022 SR in a few days(with back seats) for $28,583.(at MSRP plus doc)

 

Don't get married, don't have kids. I get new vehicles whenever it suits my fancy.

just swapping a 2021 for a 2022 and making a few bucks as well. That was my point, selling a just bought 2021 and turning around and selling to Carvana for more.
edit..I usually buy new and keep for 10 years. I'm not one of those that constantly needs to upgrade my vehicles.

I think you did well. Got back seats, newer model for pretty much straight across swap - plus you got to drive your other truck for 1800 miles. Congrats!

 

He got a better truck and made money. Drove the last truck for several months free of charge. I don't see the reason people are questioning this. It's a no brainer.

 

^^This. Plus, I think the OP posted to give us an idea of what the used market is for our trucks, not to critique his decision to make the trade.

 

getting a 2022 with 0 miles and now get the back seats, extra speakers and rear slider plus a few extra bucks. I mean not earth shattering, but why not? I have the time this time of year and I don't mind the process. Who knows, maybe in 6 months the used market will still be insane and my 2022 will be worth more than my 2021.
