    Hey Everyone,

I am looking for a Tacoma and have found one in my area.

    2016 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4WD
    Mileage 101k
Price: 27,950 before tax and title.

I am new to Tacomas and am looking to purchase something that I can use for the next 8-10 years. Mostly daily driving and the 1-2 times a month weekend warrior. Is 100k miles anything to fret about at that price range, or should I bite the bullet and shell out an extra 4 or 5 for something newer and fewer miles? (Same OR Trim)

    Seems high to me.

There is one near me 1 year newer, 43k miles for the same price.
There is another one near me 1 year older, 46k miles for the same price.

EDIT: Dealers near me are charging similar prices for used trucks. Guess it comes down to if you can get a loan for a private party sale vs dealer. Dealer is going to charge you much more than private party.

That seems like too much money for a 4 year old truck with over 100K miles.

Regardless of the condition of the truck, the mileage alone on this one would cause me to pass at $28k+tax/license.

Does anyone actually pay the asking price at a dealer? Offer them $25,500 and find another with lower miles if they don't bite.

I don't see many people weighing in on the miles.. I doubt that 100k miles is a problem. I'm close to 50k and my truck still seems/drives/functions like brand new.

Dealers don’t like to budge on used or at least CPO where I’ve been

100% agree. For 7k more, buy new or close. 100k is like 8 years of average driving. Buy really low miles, longer terms if needed, and it will last a lot longer with probably the same payments.

Too high. Truck is nearly 5 yrs. old, with 100k+ for 30k out the door?

Just got a 2018 OR with only 20000 miles for 34k, I’d say keep looking for a lower mileage option, the cost difference will be negligible.

Personally, I wouldn't be concerned about the miles but the price is high IMO.

Prices have really gone up the last few weeks.

About a month ago before I sold my taco vroom offered $16,880, I checked again last Friday and they offered $18,370.

Kinda wish I had waited but oh well. I did not go with vroom but it seemed like a good metric to show the increase in value.
