Debating between a used 2013 SR5 or TRD Off-road. Save some cash on the SR5 and use it to upgrade on my own or just get the TRD Off-road and call it good? Are the locking rear diff, hill ascent/descent, A-Trac worth paying the extra on the TRD Off-road? Those I can't get aftermarket.

You can get aftermarket lockers. Question is would you need/use it. If so, go with the OR. There are other differences between those packages that might make the OR more appealing also.

I would also go with the Off Road as it will hold its value much better than a "Modified" SR5.

    Off Road package has:
ATRAC (simulated front and rear lockers for off road traction control)
    Hill decent control
    Hill accent control
    Rear locker
    Rear bed inverter
Electrically boosted more powerful braking system
    Light weight off road swaybar
    Progressive rate suspension
    Roll side curtain airbag disable
    Upgraded interior trim
    High bolstered TRD sport seats
    'Waterproof' interior fabric
    High output alternator
    Improved capacity battery
    Transmission cooler
    Oil cooler

If you plan on using your truck off road these seem well worth the premium to me. When purchasing new the price difference was $2k at my local dealer. The question is are the features listed above worth the price difference to you?
