I've lurked on here for some time and am finally in a place where I can start modifying my truck like I'd like to, but I'm very new to some of this and have questions. I bought my used 2012 T|X Pro last year and the previous owner had already added a lift as well as 285/75 R16's. My questions are:

    a) What amount of lift do I have right now?

    b) If I want to keep running this size of tire, what are my legit suspension options (i.e. non-spacer).

Here's a few pics to show where I'm coming from:

    The day I bought her:

    Front suspension:

A terrible angle of the rear (best I could do during a short lunch break):

Looks like puck spacers in the front on stock OR Coils with about 2" of lift and a 1" block in the back to level it out. You're riding on Bilstein 4600 shocks too.

Nice looking rig. Like the fake bead-locks.

You can always do the ever popular 5100's with OME 885x springs and an 1-1/2" add-a-leaf in the back to replace the block. That should leave you exactly where you are or a tad bit higher.

No lift in back, they look like the stock 4 leaf pack. Front driver side has a spacer, 2" or so, plus a "taco lean"spacer. The passenger side probably has the same 2" sppacer but no "taco lean" spacer. Best to ditch the spacers and look into 5100's or coil-overs.

    I mean… it’s a Ford, you don’t care
that to me says its not a tx pro, either that or they switched the bilstein/eibach combo for some OR shocks and spacers....

    My first thought too.
I hope the op didn't pay T/X pro prices because that looks to be a TRD off-road.

That must be a 3"+ spacer lift. I can hear your caster screaming all the way from (AZ). :annoyed:

The dealer was actually trying to market it as a Baja. It was my understanding that the T|X Pro was the same as the TRD Pro but with exhaust and wheels. The better suspension was only on the Baja or TRD Pro?

It's better than the Rough Country spacer lift, which is all on the top plate. The Toytec design is less likely to collapse the shock stem, but will have a rougher ride because of coil slap.

I was wondering if this was it? http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/TAC3--3-Front-Spacer-Kit_p_312.html

Thanks! I'm originally from MS and got out here to the high desert of CA back in June. A pretty dramatic difference!

I thought the Baja was the same as the TX Pro. I could be wrong though.

With your double cab, do 5100s with 887 coils. You'll get just under 3" of lift - which is about where you are now. You can keep the lean spacer in if you want.

I'm not sure I believe that, but I'll agree to disagree with you.

It seems like the perfect recipe for disaster. First you're extending the shock assembly which makes it closer to becoming the bump stop and THEN you compress the coil to where the coil will compress and bind faster at which point the energy is transferred to the actual shock(and stem).
