If you have did the deck plate mod

Here`s a cheap mod if you dont want to spend the cash on a CAI

Make some barrier walls to attach to the sides of your airbox and you will have did the same as a CAI does

You can use some thin aluminum, sheet metal or vinyl, like the vinyl siding put on the side of homes, this will block off warm air getting into deck plate area

The vinyl works the best, it`s just easier to work with

If you have any cracks where warm air can still get in, you can get a can of expanding foam, like a can of great stuff, or some clear silicon will work

Use some sheet metal cutters to shape the sides for a good fit

With 30 mins to an hour of your time you`ll have a cheap easy mod

We all have different reasons for doing mods. What is yours?
It should determine what type of mods to do.

Bling? - flash and do-dads to show off to friends?
Offroading? - improve ability to get thru the tough stuff?
Power? - you want to feel your head thrown back?
Gas mileage? - save money on trips, and increase range?
Load capacity? - carry big loads without bottoming out?

    Some of the above?
You can't do all, since bling typically offsets offroading
and power can offset gas mileage.

For me, its offroading, and Gas mileage. Thats the direction
    I'm going.

Get rid of that daystar spacer and go with some bilsteins, eibach coils and get new leaf packs for the rear.
