Why not just have the driveway surface grinded(ground?) to make it more grippy?

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Nah - sandblasting would be more effective and less costly.

4HI, pull straight out, back to 2HI before you turn.

Looks like North Morro Bay? Judging from your profile location and the background in your picture? If I got that right, I gotta say WTH were they thinking when they built that place?! (That part of town, not necessarily the house)

You can literally use 4hi/4low on pavement all you want. It will not hurt the truck, and if it somehow breaks on the street in 4wd, why the heck would you trust it offroad when you're binding things up 10x worse?

    What?

When you are off-road, it allows slippage, thus not binding the axles.

When you are on pavement, that’s when driveline binding occurs.

Moab proves thats false lol. The tires will just chirp on pavement before anything breaks.

push the gas pedal down. Be your master and pedal commander. the day a tacoma needs low range for 20% paved grade is a very sad day indeed.

Yeah when you're aired down, lockers on, bouncing around, binding tires up, putting all the weight on one tire or another, flooring it, having tires instantly stop and start spinning, way more stress than a road. Never understood why people are scared to have 4wd on the road, yes the manual says not too, but that's so Toyota doesn't have to deal with people when they call and say that their 4wd doesnt act as nice as their Awd car haha.
